Here is a list and introduction to the releases by my bands. So far we've released 2 studio albums, 1 live album, 3 extended plays and several singles.

This discography is split between a few different projects under separate names, each reflecting the time of life or the set of bandmates the music was made with, or both.
I first began making music out of an infatuation with the medium of the album. I had listened to so many and wanted to make my own, to give something back to the lineage of cultural artefacts that had accompanied me through my teenage years. So before even knowing how to play any instruments I began obsessing over ideas and concepts.
There's always been a long time gap between the conception / composition of music and the releases - it's difficult to know what the ultimate potential of a song is and when its final state has been reached. Performing live with bands helps the decision making involved with the recording process and over time I've been seeking more collaborative and less insular approaches - although I am still sometimes drawn to weird ideas which are best explored in solitude.

This record is something I started working on in 2017 when living in Durham. While crossing a bridge over the river Wear on a grey morning I was feeling emotional and took this picture. From the photograph I was inspired to scribble down a track listing of song titles that reflected a spiritual journey of some sort.
I finished writing the songs just over a year later and in the autumn of 2018 would often play this album in full on guitar to myself, or the odd song to strangers at open mics, then shelved the project and moved on. I first revisited these songs in 2020 to make demos and experiment with some arrangement ideas but then shelved it again.
Since starting the Kaspar Hauser live band we've been performing 5 of the tunes (Flowing Back to You, Ever Changing Truth, Open Up, Ruined Churches and Lighter Than a Feather) - the others were unknown to Wil and Rosanna until the recording sessions. I no longer relate to some of the songs/lyrics on this record but decided out of loyalty towards the younger me to honour the original vision for the album and to release it exactly as was initially conceived with these 12 tracks in this order.

Not For Human Consumption is a collection of songs I wrote between 2015 and 2016. At the time I created these with 3 separate releases in mind, although in each case I ended up feeling that it wasn't good so I never released them, or even shared them with anyone.
In early 2022 upon re-listening to all the Fear Asparagus material on my hard drive I decided that it was still appealing as a piece of outsider art, particularly when listening to the songs consecutively. The naivety and rawness of each of the tracks flowing into one another makes it easier to get lost in the core melodic ideas and sound worlds and forget how unprofessional, poorly performed and recorded it is.
